How to clean your gutters
] Test your garage door opener monthly to be certain that it reverses when it hits a blockage or when its sensor beam is interrupted.
] Vacuum the garments dryer’s exhaust channel one or more times a year. If the channel is plastic, replace it ( it’s a fire jeopardy ). Rigid sheet-metal channeling is best.
] Replace furnace filters quarterly, or as counseled by the furnace manufacturer.
] Test all GFCI ( ground fault circuit interrupter ) outlets monthly. Press the test button and utilize a voltage tester to make certain the power goes off.
] Clean leaves and waste from the condenser of a central air conditioner seasonally.
] Annually, vacuum the chiller coils underneath the appliance.
] Have the fire chimney inspected and cleaned annually.
] Check window and door caulking and weather stripping each year.
] Replace the batteries in smoke detectors per year. And remember, even recent hard-wired smoke detectors have backup batteries that must definitely be replaced. If you have never checked yours, do so.
